Student Wellbeing Coordination
Student Wellbeing
Coordination
In the 2025–26 academic year, I took on the role of Student Wellbeing Coordinator at MUIDS alongside co-coordinator Steban Pantoja. The role sits at the intersection of pastoral care, systems design, and school culture — focused not just on responding to student need but on proactively building the structures that prevent need from going unmet. Each initiative below was developed through a formal proposal process, presented to leadership, and implemented in collaboration with students and teachers. All are grounded in the CASEL and PERMA wellbeing frameworks and designed to be sustainable and expandable year on year.
Section Sync-Up
Structured 15-minute collaboration meetings inviting teachers of common core groups to share student insights and coordinate support across subjects.
Central Assessment Tracker
A centralized, student-managed calendar that maps out assessments across all sections to balance academic rigor with student wellbeing
The New Moon Club
A 28-day non-academic goal-setting initiative structured around the lunar cycle — for students nominated by their teachers as those who would most benefit from a dedicated wellbeing space.
Wellbeing Mural
A student-led public art project resulting in a permanent mural on campus connecting the school's ESLOs to the PERMA framework — designed, proposed, and painted by students.
Student Device Agreement
A tiered intervention framework for students with persistent device management challenges — a tripartite agreement signed by student, family, and school, framed as a support structure.
